Description
This Topic is intended to address the most common difficulties incurred during the breadboard stage of a power supply circuit and offer practical solutions to overcoming difficult prototyping and layout problems. Numerous examples from basic DC/DC Pulse Width Modulators through off-line Power Factor Correction (PFC) applications are cited. Some common 'tools of the trade" will be explored and, finally, a step-by-step procedure for initial breadboard review and first "power-up" sequence is presented.
