DSP/BIOS One Day Workshop

Description
Gerry Shoults
Mgr, Technical Training Organization

Defines DSP/BIOS and introduces the advantages of incorporating it into code development. Students will learn how to build, debug, and run both simple and more complicated programs. This is a good introductory course to become familiar with DSP/BIOS and its tools. Four lab exercises are included to illustrate the topics discussed.

Note: To complete the labs included in this training you need to download and install the following:

1.  Code Composer Studio Version 1.2

2.  C6711 DSP Starter Kit

Objective
By the time you finish this course you will be able to:

  • Build a DSP/BIOS application
  • Schedule a DSP/BIOS thread
  • Debug using real-time analysis
  • Model a real-time periodic system
  • Know where to go for more information
