Description
This course describes the challenges of High Definiton DSP Transcoding. It describes generic and optimized approaches, and covers codec comparisons, and codec trends by application. Processing requirements from MPEG2 up to HD H.264 are discussed. The highly integrated dual core DM6446 Digital Media processor is discussed, along with the MHZ consumption required for decode and encode of various codecs.
