Capture tone with the AFE77xx RX
In the previous video, I demonstrated how to correct the AFE77XXTX quadrature mismatch and LO leakage. If you have not yet set up the hardware or verified the DAC output, please visit the previous videos before continuing with this video. Also, we programmed the AFE77XX in a mode that we refer to as USECASE1. In USECASE1, the sampling frequency of the receiver ADCs is 2,949.12 mega samples per second. The decimation factor is 12. That gives an output data rate of 245.76 mega samples per second. The LO frequency is 3.5 gigahertz. Now let's get started capturing a tone. Make sure to disconnect the SMA connected to [? FP1 ?] from TX1. Program your signal source to output a tone at 3,520 megahertz with an amplitude of minus 15 dBm. Then navigate to the ADC tab in HSDC Pro. Select the INI file titled AFE77XX_RX_USECASE1. Press OK on the pop-up window. In tone selection, switch to single tone. Change the data rate to 245.76 mega samples per second. Press OK. Then press Capture. You should see a single tone at 20 megahertz captured.
