Digitally controller power supply designers need to make firmware that can handle all necessary tasks using a digital core with distinct, but limited computation capability. A common method is to separate time-critical tasks in the power supply from others, and execute them with hardware blocks that run autonomous of the processor. This simplifies firmware development and lets you do more with the processor. Watch the video to learn about this method and implementation, which shows how digital power can be simplified using UCD3138x family.
