This video demonstrates how to quickly configure and calibrate a single-phase shunt-based embedded metering design using the Energy Measurement Design Center (EMDC). You'll start by installing EMDC and creating a new project. Next, you'll learn how to properly configure the voltage and current sensors in your system using the EMDC GUI. Next, you'll learn how to easily configure the MSP430 microcontroller (MCU) to support the required hardware connections and metering parameters. After checking for errors and generating the code, you'll learn how to import the code into Code Composer Studio (CCS), program the MSP430 MCU and then start viewing results in the EMDC GUI. Finally, you'll get to see first-hand how the EMDC GUI can be used to perform system-level gain and phase calibration to achieve high-accuracy measurements from the MSP430 MCU.
