The enhanced pulse width modulator on C2000 devices controls many of the power-related systems found in many end-equipments. The ePWM peripheral module is responsible for generating pulse signals that are fed into controls systems as well as other parts of the device, such as the ADC SOC. The ePWM module consists of 8 submodules which each serve a distinct function within the ePWM. The submodules are: time-base, counter compare, action qualifier, dead-band, PWM chopper, event trigger, trip-zone, and digital compare.
