Semiconductor isolation technological innovation has opened the door for modern alternatives to optocouplers that offer similar functionality with improved overall performance. Compared to optocouplers, TI’s silicon dioxide (SiO2) digital isolation technology offers superior performance, especially when comparing high voltage ratings, electrical characteristics, switching characteristics, and reliability.
