1.4 Introduction to Power Control Theory
This power overview focuses on applying control to power converter circuits, including the principle of negative feedback, and recognizing several benefits to feedback. The presenter introduces high-level overviews of three popular power supply control methods – Hysteretic, Voltage Mode Control, and Current Mode Control. Each control technique’s advantages and disadvantages are listed, as well as comparisons between the three methods.
