3.9 Reverse recovery

説明

2021年 3月 26日
In this lecture, we will learn:
  • PN diodes and bipolar junction transistors (BJTs) rely on minority-carriers that take time to recombine.
  • If reverse voltage is applied to a PN diode while carriers are still present, the diode will conduct briefly.
  • Reverse recovery losses occur each cycle, like switching losses, and must be avoided to achieve high-frequency operation.
