Webinar: Sensing in Robotics

説明

2020年 12月 11日

The increasing need for automation in all branches of industry leads to an increased use of collaborative robots (cobots) and autonomous guided vehicles (AGV). They are used for tasks that are associated with a high risk of injury or involve a high degree of repetition. Cobots and AGV work hand in hand with people and must be able to quickly recognize potential collisions with human operators and interrupt or slow down their operations. For this purpose, cobots and AGV must be equipped with advanced sensing and machine learning capabilities that allows them to interact with a changing environment. Ultrasonic, RADAR and LIDAR TI solutions will be discussed in this webinar with a focus on how these technologies enable Cobots and AGV to co-operate, co-exist and co-work with humans.

In this webinar, you will learn:

  • How various sensors, such as mmwave, ultrasonic, optical, etc. enable Cobots to co-operate, co-exist and co-work with humans
  • How sensors enable AGV to detect and avoid objects
  • Basic principles of sensor fusion in Robotics Operating Systems (ROS)
