2.5 Boundary conduction mode and valley switching

설명

2021년 3월 26일
In this lecture, we will learn:
  • Converters may be controlled to always operate at the boundary between continuous and discontinuous conduction.
  • Boundary conduction mode (BCM) has some advantages of continuous conduction mode and discontinuous conduction mode, but is variable-frequency.
  • A small extension to BCM allows converters to get softer switching, a major advantage for high-frequency operation.
