The importance of solar load modeling in augmented reality head-up displays

This video will discuss the importance of solar load modeling in the design of next generation augmented reality (AR) head-up displays (HUD). Simulation results based on Texas Instruments AR-HUD will be discussed as well as the differences between TFT and DLP technology based HUDs. The impact of longer virtual image distances and wider field of views (FOV) on solar irradiance will also be explained.
