Reference designs for a discrete approach to SoC and FPGA power
Microprocessors and programmable logic require several voltage supply rails, often with tight regulation accuracy and sequencing requirements. Discrete solutions are often preferred because of the flexibility they allow when it comes to solution size, performance, and cost. In this training, Emmanuel discusses these advantages of a discrete approach, with reference design examples: TIDA-01416 for i.MX7, TIDA-01366 for Altera MAX10, and TIDA-01412 for Freescale MPC5748G. These are easy-to-use solutions for cost-sensitive projects, and are scalable for a variety of processor versions and performance needs.
