Waterfall keypad with CapTIvate™ and SimpleLink™ technology
Here at the TI Tech Day in Minneapolis, we're showing CapTIvate capacitive touch technology paired with simple [INAUDIBLE] wireless microcontrollers to solve unique applications. In this example behind me here, we're showing an electronic lock application with CapTIvate capacitive touch sensing for electronic access control so we can enter a pass code to unlock a building via manual keypad entry. Or you could unlock your home via BLE connection to a mobile handset device. Capacitive touch is being made easier and easier with CapTIvate technology through the use of the CapTIvate development GUI shown over here on the right. A quick drag and drop environment where you can create which sensors you'd like to have and drop them into a visual environment, generate the source code, and program a CapTIvate microcontroller to quickly get up and running with development.
