9.2 Parasitic inductance

In the lecture, we will learn:
  • Parasitic inductance is usually most critical in switching loops and gate-drive loops.
  • Loop area contributes to inductance, which is intuitive, but the loop depth also contributes.
  • If two loops generate coupled magnetic fields, they may experience a parasitic transformer.
