PFC Circuit Basics: Selecting the Right Topology

This video series explores the basics of power factor correction (PFC) circuits. In this video, we will take a step back and understand how and where the various PFC solutions fit best to solve a given problem. We will give an introduction to EMI, comparisons between 2 phase critical conduction mode and continuous conduction mode, and how power level drives most of the decision as to what PFC is best. We will also review several case studies with real world solutions.
