1.2 Polyphase current measurement with isolated shunt sensors: Introduction—Benefits of using shunt current sensors instead of current transformers">Next
May 7, 2018
This module provides details on the scope of this training series. In addition, it provides an introduction to what is meter tampering and why do utility companies care about it. This is the first of three modules for the “Introduction” section of the “Polyphase Current Measurement with Isolated Shunt Sensors” training series.
This section covers what meter tampering is, and introduces the isolated modulator and isolated metrology AFE architectures.
2High-Side power supply options for powering shunt sensing devices (1)
In this section, the different high-side power supply options that are available are discussed.
3Implementing isolated shunt sensors using metrology AFEs and external isolators (4)
In this section, the isolated metrology AFE architecture and the TIDA-01550 reference design will be discussed.
4Implementing isolated shunt sensors using isolated delta sigma modulators and digital filters (7)
In this section, the isolated modulator architecture will be discussed, and various isolated modulator designs will also be compared.
5Comparisons between isolated shunt sensing architectures (1)
This section compares the two isolated shunt sensing architectures and discusses which architecture is best for different system requirements.
In this section, a summary of the entire “Polyphase Current Measurement with Isolated Shunt Sensors” training module would be covered. Links will be
