In this video, you will learn about the basic DC specifications of precision DACs. We begin by introducing the ideal DAC transfer function. Then we discuss the errors that cause a DAC to deviate from ideal:
- Offset and zero-code error
- Gain error
- Differential non-linearity (DNL)
- Integral non-linearity (INL)
We finish by discussing total unadjusted error (TUE), which is an effective way to summarize the DC errors of a DAC.
