In this video, we learn about the basic DC specifications of Precision DACs. We begin by introducing the ideal DAC transfer function. Then we learn about the errors that cause a DAC to deviate from ideal:
- Offset and zero-code error
- Gain error
- Differential non-linearity (DNL)
- Integral non-linearity (INL)
We then finish by discussing total unadjusted error (TUE) which is an effective way of summarizing the DC errors of a DAC.
