Selecting Wide VIN DC/DC Converters for Commercial Vehicle Telematics

Description

July 23, 2020
Telematics systems in commercial vehicles are powered off of a 24-V battery and require up to 25W of output power.  Consequently, the off-battery power supply must be able to support a wide input voltage range (6V – 57V), high ambient temperatures, stringent EMI standards of CISPR 25 Class 5, and high reliability required of automotive applications. This video will provide an overview of the power supply requirements of telematics systems and Texas Instruments' latest 60V DC-DC converter capable of supplying up to 5A (LM76005-Q1).
