SimpleLink™ MSP432™ low-power and high-performance MCUs
While the market requires better power performance, it also continuously demands more functionality from devices. The challenge many developers face today is maintaining or improving battery operating life while simultaneously increasing a device’s capabilities. For many devices, it is not feasible to increase battery size or capacity; this means that developers need to achieve higher performance within the same power footprint if battery life is not to be compromised.
MSP432P4x low-power and performance series of microcontrollers are the ideal combination of our MSP430 low-power DNA, advanced mixed-signal features, and the high-performance processing capabilities of a 32-bit, 48MHz ARM® Cortex®-M4F engine.
MSP432P4x MCUs consume only 95uA/MHz in active mode and 850 nA in standby with RTC, integrate a 14-bit 1 MSPS ADC with low power operation of 200 uA at full speed, 256 KB of Flash, 64 KB of RAM and an AES256 accelerator, and operate from 1.62 – 3.7 V. MSP432P4x MCUs cater to a large number of embedded applications where both efficient data processing and enhanced low-power operation are essential.
MSP432 MCU tools and software are designed to get you started evaluating and developing quickly and easily. In this training series, you will learn about the MSP432P4x MCU features and benefits, how to get started with the hardware and software tools, and available resources to get your low-power, high-performance design underway.
