Texas Instruments Deep Learning (TIDL) Overview

September 8, 2018
This training takes a look at the Texas Instruments Deep Learning  (TIDL), which is now available as part of TI’s free Processor SDK for the AM57x SoC processor family and allows running deep learning inference at the edge. All AM57x processors can accelerate deep neural network layers using the C66x DSP cores. The AM5749 processor additionally has a vision processing accelerator known as the Embedded Vision Engine (EVE) subsystem, to provide even more acceleration of deep learning algorithms. You will also learn about the TIDL development flow, the deep learning frameworks supported by TIDL, the various network models validated on the SoC, and example use cases where TIDL can be applicable, including a TIDL reference design.
