Texas Instruments Security Webinar Series

In this series, you will gain an understanding of the TI security framework and the various industry-recognized security enablers that TI supports.

Our world is evolving with the growth of wirelessly connected products. The Wi-Fi integrated within these products make it easier to remotely monitor and control the world around us, and it provide new avenues to stay connected. Yet we aren’t the only ones who stand to benefit from a highly connected environment. Each connected product represents a window for ill-intentioned individuals to steal intellectual property, data or gain unauthorized control of the product. It is clear that every connected product needs security measures to prevent unauthorized attacks and accesses. Engineers have to consider security features, during the selection of their Wi-Fi solution, because Wi-Fi is the default technology which enables all products to be part of the internet of things.

Given the importance of security, TI has invested in Wi-Fi devices that would empower developers to address security challenges with ease. The SimpleLink™ Wi-Fi® CC3220x devices was designed with a holistic view of security challenges, encompassing a wide-range of features to address a variety of issues including secure communication, secure storage, key management, identity aspects, security during development, security during production and more. While integrated circuits (IC) like wireless microcontrollers and Wi-Fi network processor chips do not constitute a complete solution for securing an application, they provide building blocks that designer can use to implement security measures into an application.  Let’s explore the security features embedded within the SimpleLink Wi-Fi CC3120 and CC3220 devices, which will allow developers to create long-lasting, reliable, and more secure  Internet of Things products for every day users.
