2.13 USB to UART Bridge

Description

August 27, 2021

We know that you are looking for ways to make your board designs more efficient -- to decrease BOM costs, reduce the number of components, and simplify your schematic and layout designs.

The video will walk you through a simple GUI for using the MCU as a USB to UART bridge. We’ll cover the hardware needed to get started and how this example is implemented in code.

Try the GUI, evaluate the software, and develop your own house-keeping function on MSP430 MCU with the simple resources below.

Note: The example code and GUI below were tested on MSP430F5529 Launchpad. However, you can run these examples on any MSP430 Launchpad development kit with the required MCU peripherals. Please see the device’s specific data sheet for migrating pinouts and peripherals.
