As robots in factories, warehouses and last-mile delivery or service industry are working in closer proximity to humans than ever before, the need for them to be autonomous, mobile as well as safer, intelligent and energy-efficient is critically important. These autonomous mobile robots (AMRs) must perceive in indoor or outdoor environments, without fail and irrespective of prevailing environmental conditions. To that end, AMRs need to be equipped with redundant sensing and high accuracy perception capabilities.
