What specifications to look for when designing power supplies for SoCs and FPGAs

Description

June 20, 2018
Microprocessors and FPGAs require several voltage supply rails, each with tight regulation accuracy and sequencing requirements. Because of software and application-dependent current consumption of these PoL rails, customers often customize their solution to get the best performance, size, cost, and simplicity. However, required regulation performance narrows the field of suitable devices. Thus, it is critical to identify which specifications should be prioritized when choosing power devices.
