Industrial TI Tech Days session

Industrial system designers need simple software solutions for autonomous functional designs or to attain predictable system power-up at scale. TI’s new smart analog building blocks have non-volatile memory (NVM) and factory programmable state machines that enable autonomous analog designs to sense using an internal ADC, along with control of the DAC and pulse-width modulation (PWM). Similarly, TI’s new smart DACs can compare an analog signal to a factory preset values in NVM and change the DAC output or PWM output. This NVM can store both analog and PWM pre-programmed waveforms that continuously play or change with the ADC or GPIO input triggers. The smart analog and smart DAC portfolio of products provide simple intelligence without the need for software. These capabilities allow analog and software engineers to work independently, expedite design cycles and improve quality of their designs. In this session, we will also cover how removing tiny MCUs wherever possible can reduce cost, size and development cycle time.
