2.8 Practical Buck EMI Debugging for Automotive Applications

2020年 8月 21日

2020 Automotive TI Tech Day session

What do you do when you test your board and you fail EMI? Where do you start the debug process? EMI can seem unpredictable. The more you test, the more confusing cause and effect can become. This presentation will give you an overview of EMI, what it is, where it comes from, and provides the most common reasons for poor EMI performance. We will discuss what to look for and how to resolve issues by observing at which frequency the issue arises. We will also learn how to check for the issue with a few quick tests to narrow down the nature of the noise source. These tips will help you cut down on debug time and possibly solve the issue with very little or no change to the schematic or layout.
